The AGM Global Vision PVS-14 3AW3 night vision monocular is a rugged, lightweight, multi-purpose Gen 3 system built for handheld or head/helmet-mounted night operations. It uses a Gen 3 auto-gated white phosphor Level 3 image intensifier with a 3AW3 tube specification and includes a built-in IR illuminator with automatic bright light shut-off to help protect the photocathode tube.
